| Rotary Bowling Fellowship |
| Several years ago, the Rotary clubs in Singapore organized a bowling Charity
fund raising program. It was an one-off event. Many Rotarians felt that bowling is a good healthy event that promotes goodwill, comradeship and an effort to crystallize this thought was processed. In 1997, The Rotary Club of Singapore West Bowling Convenor, Michael Quek, organized a Bowling Tournament at Victor's Superbowl and invited bowlers from other Rotary clubs to participate in the event. The success of that event resulted in the formation of a Rotary Bowling Committee consisting of several enthusiastic bowlers from 10 different Rotary clubs in Singapore and Johor. The Bowling Committee subsequently planned and organized several bowling tournaments. These avtivities provided opportunities for Rotarians/Anns from different Rotary clubs to fellowship with one another. Weaker bowlers were given generous handicap to assist them to compete against stronger bowlers. Each team drew their bowlers from different Rotary clubs and the team make-up would be of similar strength to allow for fair competition. DELFI agreed to be our main sponsor for all our Rotary Fellowship Tournament. |
